November Favorites // Makeup
I am finally able to sit down and write this post! I recently relocated to Las Vegas from NYC and it's been quite the adventure. The move started with the moving van trucking away all of our belongings mid-November, to us recently taking residence in our new home. But we're still waiting for the moving truck, and it's been challenging getting back into my routine without my things. Anyway, I acquired many of the items on my list during the Sephora VIB Sale and others I picked up randomly along the way. Not surprisingly I have three Eye and Face Palettes on the list, a really popular item this time of year.
I love every item I have from Armani Beauty. The quality is always amazing. So often, holiday products end up being gimmicky and of lesser quality, but this face palette is wonderful and consistent in quality. I love the range of eyeshadow shades and finishes, and the powder underneath works perfectly for my skin tone. For my full review, check out my post here.
There's not much more I can say about this palette. It's simply gorgeous. The quality is exactly what you expect from TF, and with its beautiful packaging you feel so absolutely glamorous using it. I only have the Warm palette as the Cool palette had a blush that was too bright for my taste. For my full review, check out my post here. Here is a look I did using all the products in this palette, plus the Lip Foil in Aperture.
While this may not be the palette I reach for often, there are so many things I love and appreciate about it. The packaging, the shape of the compact, and how I think it reflects Sarah Moon's aesthetic so truly. The colors are so smokey, but in an ethereal way. Just lovely. My full review of the palette is here.
I have a confession: Bobbi Brown is not a brand I think of often. As much as I appreciate how much Bobbi Brown has brought makeup out of our "mother's era", it always seems kind of... boring? So when I started searching for, what I would consider, a staple for my collection - the perfect nude, all over the lid, single eyeshadow, I figured Bobbi Brown would be the right place to go, and I was right! I love this single shadow as a base for most other eyeshadows, and it's great for blending out.
These Prismatique lipsticks can be worn alone, or over another lipstick to add a sort of prismatic effect. This Lame color gives a lovely, subtle metallic shine to the lips on its own, or transforms any other lipstick into the fun version of itself, but it remains subtle. I love wearing it alone when I need just a little kick to my look.
I'm a true, full-time, hardcore sucker for Tom Ford lipsticks. I don't know if it's the shades, the packaging, the outrageous price tag that makes me need to have it! But, I do love them, and Warm Sable has been my go-to lately. I love the warm, nude, caramel-y tone. It has just the right amount of warmth to give my lips life, versus making me look dead which so many nude lipsticks do. And it has just the subtlest gold sheen for extra dimension.
And the same goes for this Cle de Peau lippie. It looks slightly orange in the tube, but on the lips it's a rich caramel brown - just the kind of nude I'm loving these days. This line of lippies from Cle de Peau are moisturizing and slightly sheer, but leave a lovely cast of color on my lips. So for this low-maintenance days, this has been perfect.
That's it! What were your recent favorites? Anything I should try? Hope everyone is having a lovely December and holiday season! xoxo
